Agia Eirini Gorge is located on the west side of the White Mountains, in the province of Selino. It took its name from the village that is built at its entrance and the distance from Chania is 43 km. It is the second gorge to visit after the Samaria Gorge and is a beautiful and enjoyable destination.
It extends to 7.5 km in length and the route lasts about 3 hours. The stream passing through the gorge of Agia Irini ends in the sea and the fairy of the Libyan Sea. The northern entrance of the canyon is 18 km and the southern entrance is 5 km from Sougia.
To enter Agia Irini Gorge you will need to pay 2 euros entrance. This money is used exclusively for the maintenance of the gorge.
It is also characteristic that it is visitable for a longer period, compared to Samaria Gorge, and that it is a growing natural resource.
